About Us
Since its start over 50 years ago, WOCO has been a family-owned and operated radio station serving Oconto County. WOCO Radio has been broadcasting on its 1260 AM channel since 1957 and its 107.1 FM channel since 1969. The Kaszynski family purchased the radio station in 1971, and generations of Oconto County WI listeners have tuned into father and son DJs Walt and Larry Kaszynski for years. On weekday mornings, WOCO 107.1 FM hosts a local talk show, sharing news and updates from community and governmental leaders.
High School Sports Coverage
Larry joined the family business in 1975. Currently, he manages the radio station, hosts a morning talk show, and announces high school sports. Larry covers as many as four games per week on WOCO 107.1 FM, featuring high school sports teams in Oconto, Oconto Falls, Lena, Gillett, Coleman, Suring, and Peshtigo. WOCO 107.1 FM broadcasts high school football, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball and wrestling.
Rock ‘N’ Roll Music on WOCO 107.1 FM
WOCO 107.1 FM partners with MeTV FM to broadcast Rock ‘n’ Roll favorites from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. MeTV FM is the musical companion to MeTV, Memorable Entertainment Television, which broadcasts classic television shows. The Rock ‘n’ Roll music programming includes Artie’s Timewarp.
Country Music on WOCO 1260 AM
Alternatively, WOCO 1260 AM plays All Heart Country Music. The country music programming on the AM dial includes Shawn Parr Backstage Country, Pure American Country, Country Gold with Terri Clark, and Weekend in the Country.
Lutheran Services & Catholic Rosary
WOCO devotes air time to religious messages on Sundays. WOCO 107.1 FM broadcasts the Bill Gautier Home Coming & Friends Radio Show at 8 a.m. Sunday. At 11 a.m. WOCO 107.1 features a Lutheran service from one of five different Oconto-area churches. At noon, listeners can tune into a service from Zion Lutheran Church of Oconto, followed by Lutheran Hour. The Rosary and a Catholic reflection from Holy Trinity, Oconto, round out the day at 6:30 p.m.
